When I went to my wife’s 10 year High School reunion, people filled out forms about their life. Under the heading of “someday, I want to…” – at least 50 % of the people said “I want to own my own business”. And WHY is that? The dream of making more money, being your own boss, in control of your time, not having to follow orders, flexible time, etc. Well, I’ve had that part of the dream for over 15 years now. I have been an independent computer contractor. I have tried to build up my business, but it takes a lot of work to find new clients, find quality people, negotiate deals and monitor progress – all on my own time. And since I’m already working full time at 1 client, that is difficult to do.
For 2 years, I had the FULL dream become reality of getting a good contract with a large corporation. This was our chance to build an IT business. We found, we could not service the client and anyone else, so we hired a salesman, then we hired a technical person. However, they only did what we told them to do and didn’t build the business. So after 2 years we were broke and closed down. It was very difficult. We had nothing to show for it after earning significant income. I didn’t own the business, the business OWNED ME; and I was working my tail off! It was very frustrating.
Since then, I’ve been looking for some way to make some decent money; not get rich quick, but just keeping my options open. My family needs some way to catch up on the bills and stop the credit card calls. We just CANNOT seem to be able to CATCH UP. I’m tired of trading time for money. I cannot put in enough time to pay the bills. I want to leverage my time, so I decided to consider earning some extra income working with Agel.
