We don't know what the future holds for any new company. But what if an investing genius, like Warren Buffett or Peter Lynch said, "XYZ Corp. is going to be a future star!" Would you be interested? How many shares would you buy?
As many as you could! Right? And then you would encourage all your friends and family to purchase as many shares as they could also.
It's still a risk. But with their advice it seems a much smaller risk than investing in some new company at random. And the rewards are much greater than investing in a mature company past it's prime growth phase (or relying on a measly 3% annual raise from your stingy boss, just to keep up with inflation).
But there is a major difference between purchasing stock in a company and starting an Agel business.
Can you do anything to influence the price of your Microsoft or Wal-Mart stock to make it more valuable? No, not really. But you have complete control over your Agel business - you are the prime influence for growth and success.

The final stage is Mature Growth. This stage is where the company continues to grow but at a much slower pace relative to earlier growth. There is still a good opportunity to build a solid business, but the amazing explosion of growth that happens in the Momentum stage is past.
The question to you is, if you could join at any point in this growth cycle, which point would it be?
Of course you would join during the Formation stage. Joining at that stage (and starting to build your business - becoming a reason for the company's growth) gives you the most leverage as the company grows and let's you take advantage of the exponential growth that occurs in the Momentum stage.
