Domain Name Fowarding
Turn: www.whyagel.com/?id=1234567
Into: www.example.com
- Professional - also your own email account: you@example.com.
- Easy to Remember - no long URLs or ID codes to type.
- Short for Business Cards, Stickers, etc.
- Convenient - you wont have to reprint business cards or stickers if you switch website services. (Although you'll never switch from WhyAgel.com right?)
If you don't already have your own domain name, we highly recommend you get one for the reasons listed above.
Once you have registered your domain name you will want to set it to FORWARD to your WhyAgel.com domain.
The following instructions will guide you through the steps necessary to forward your domain if you are using the recommended 1and1.com registrar service.
Step 1. Log into your 1and1.com account and select "Domains":
(Click on the words "Customer Login" located on the 1and1.com home page, upper-right:)

(Enter your customer ID number and password:)

(Click on the word "Domains" located on the left a few inches down the page:)

Step 2. Locate your domain name, place a check in the box to the left, and click on the "Destination" button:
Step 3. Click on the "Edit" button next to the word "Destination":
Step 4. Select the "Forward Your Domain" option next to the "Destination" label:
Step 5. Enter the "Forwarding destination" (http://www.whyagel.com/?id=1234567 - repace 1234567 with your Agel ID Number), select the "HTTP redirect" option then click the "OK" button:
(The number after "id=" is your Agel ID number. Replace 1234567 with your Agel number. Or use the URL you see in your browser's address box after you use your "Key Link" to go to your WhyAgel.com site.)
Step 6. Confirm the change by going to the Domains area again and checking for the "Fowarded..." in the "Destination" column:
That's it! It may take a few hours for the fowarding to work but it should be working for sure after 6 hours. If not contact the 1and1.com support.
